UMKC Grads Are Everywhere.

There are over 57,000 UMKC Kangaroos (alumni) working in Kansas City alone. However, UMKC still had trouble shaking its “commuter school” and “second tier” reputation.

By shining the spotlight on UMKC Grads, we used their existence to prove that a degree from UMKC sets students up for successful careers.

To generate buzz in a place known for deer crossings, we posted these signs everywhere.

Some groundbreaking, investigative journalism eventually led to their demise, but effectively did its job for us. Turns out the “city official” was also a UMKC grad, so nothing happened. It just proved our point.
